Volunteers at APAF play a crucial role in supporting our mission and ensuring the success of our programs. As a volunteer, you will engage with youth, assist in the execution of arts programs, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

what do our volunteer do?

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Assistance

  • Support Workshops and Classes: Assist instructors in organizing and conducting performing arts workshops and classes.

  • Facilitate Activities: Help set up, facilitate, and clean up after arts activities and events.

  • Participant Engagement: Engage with youth participants, encouraging their involvement and fostering a supportive environment.

 

2. Event Support

  • Community Performances: Aid in the preparation and execution of community performances and events.

  • Logistics and Coordination: Assist with logistical tasks, including equipment setup, ticketing, and crowd management.

  • Promotion: Support promotional activities for events, including distributing flyers and posting on social media.

3. Administrative Support

  • Data Management: Help with maintaining participant records, attendance sheets, and other administrative tasks.

  • Communication: Assist in communication efforts, such as calling participants, sending emails, and updating social media platforms.

  • Resource Management: Help manage and organize materials and resources needed for programs and events.

4. Outreach and Community Engagement

  • School Engagement Programs: Support the delivery of interactive presentations and workshops in local schools.

  • Public Engagement Programs: Participate in community outreach activities, representing APAF at local events and meetings with community organizations.

  • Volunteer Recruitment: Assist in recruiting and onboarding new volunteers.

5. Health and Safety

  • Maintain Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all participants.

  • Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with and ready to implement emergency procedures if necessary.
